I am presently at UW-Platteville as a freshman. I am declared as an Engineering Physics significant. Not too long ago I decided I want to be an astronomer or astrophysicist when all is said and accomplished. Is this key ok to lead me to graduate college or ought to I switch to a school that has a pure physics significant and perhaps even some more astronomy classes? Thanks for any help.

So long as your grades are high in physics (at least 3 years of it), math (at least two years of calc and a single of statistics), plus pc, chem, and geology, you need to not have any dilemma. Of course, take what ever astronomy your college offers, and if it has a planetarium or observatory, performing some volunteer perform there would be a big plus.
Graduate programs in astronomy are accustomed to applications from folks coming from schools lacking astronomy as an undergraduate significant.
